Hello I need a new small kitchen and bathroom fitted . I need the current bathroom and kitchen to be completely stripped and all material disposed of. New cabintets, worktop, sink etc fitted in the kitchen and shower, toilet sink fitted in the bathroom. Also tiling where necessary
3 parts to this project:
(1) Break down intersecting wall between 2 rooms to make one large room - this is not a supporting wall, stud wall only, no electrics in it. Plumber will remove radiator and make right before work commences.
(2) Remove door etc and close off and plaster over a stud wall where the door was. There will only need to be one door to the room.
Remove built in wardrobe and part of stud wall. This has been made electrically safe by electrician to go ahead and remove it now
Plaster sides of wall, floor and ceiling and make right where wall has been broken down. Carpet will need to be removed. Floor boards , rooms on first floor of house

1. in the room downstairs: seal the door and remove the door closer to the main entrance.
2. Turn the utility room into a wardrobe.
3.Add a door downstairs in the corridor
Remove the kitchen wall and extend only the lower part of the kitchen (in the same style as the rest) to add a thin dishwasher and the washing-machine. 4.I decided to leave the extension of the upper part with open shelves- maybe metal/industrial ones I have seen in IKEA.
5.Change the living room door adding one that closes better and with a wooden frame and glass; but basically no structural change.
6.Remove the tile- and laminate-floors from kitchen and living room and have a new fabricated wood (?) floor; I am wondering if it is possible to have something below the new floor to improve heating and sound.
change the heating water timer so I do not have to remember everyday to turn it on; and have a plumber improve water pressure on the upper floor.
7.I am not sure whether I will do this now or later- it all depends on pricing and my remaining money: paint the stair-banners; and remove the carpet (or die it- I just realised it is possible to do this; or add a new victorian carpet or tiles on the face of it).
